Continuous water monitoring that alerts you to electrical hazards before anyone enters.
Electric Shock Drowning (ESD) happens when electrical current leaks into freshwater. It’s usually caused by faulty wiring, worn-out equipment, or loose connections—often from docks that seem fine. This isn't a rare occurrence. ESD incidents happen on lakes across the country every year, often at docks that passed recent electrical inspections. Even if your own setup is up to code, electricity can travel through water from a neighbor’s dock and reach your swim area without warning. That’s what makes ESD so dangerous. You can’t feel it. You can’t smell it. You can’t see it.
WaveLink is designed to catch it before anyone gets in.
Key Features
150 ft Detection Radius
Covers your full swim area, not just the edge of the dock.
Real-Time App Alerts
Get notified the moment WaveLink detects electricity in the water.
No Electrician Required
Install it yourself in about an hour using simple tools.
Built to Learn Your Dock
WaveLink calibrates to your setup to avoid false alarms.
Built to Catch What Other Devices Miss
Field-tested by master electricians who found existing products inadequate.
No electrician. No permits. Just mount it, plug it in, and protect your dock.
Everything you need comes in the box. Most people set up WaveLink in less than an hour using only basic tools. No electrical connections to your dock's power system. WaveLink plugs into any standard outlet. The most technical step is running the sensor cables to your swim area. If you can install outdoor holiday lights, you can install WaveLink.
It connects to power, mounts to your dock, and runs a built-in calibration as soon as the sensors touch the water. Once the unit turns blue, you're ready to go. From there, just scan the QR code, create an account, and download the app.
WaveLink starts protecting your dock from the moment it's online.
Installation Process
1. Mount the Hub
Use the included bracket and screws to attach the hub to a post or railing near your dock.
2. Connect the Sensors
Plug in the cables and place the probes in the water at least 12 feet apart.
3. Power On and Pair the App
Let the unit calibrate, then scan the QR code to connect. You’ll get mobile alerts if conditions become unsafe.
WaveLink Hub
WaveLink Hub
The WaveLink Hub uses patented technology to detect voltage in water so you can secure the swimming area around your dock. Now, you can leave worry behind when you come to the lake.
A $200 annual maintenance and upgrade fee will be processed when you activate your unit. To ensure we can develop and deploy updates as well as monitor the waterscape activity. This is not charged during the purchase of your unit but is required for use of the hub.

Here's what dock owners typically want to know.
What is Electric Shock Drowning (ESD)?
What is Electric Shock Drowning (ESD)?
Electric Shock Drowning is a hidden danger in freshwater lakes and rivers. It occurs when stray electrical current leaks into the water from nearby boats, docks, or marinas. Unlike saltwater, which disperses electricity quickly, freshwater’s higher resistance causes electricity to pass more easily through a swimmer’s body than through the water. Even a small amount of current can paralyze muscles, leaving the swimmer unable to move or call for help, often leading to drowning.
Will this work on my dock?
Will this work on my dock?
WaveLink Secure is designed for nearly any freshwater dock. The system uses submerged water probes placed around your swim area to detect dangerous electricity in the water. For best coverage, probes should be spaced at least 12 feet apart and 2–3 feet deep, with access to power for the Hub. Most docks can easily meet these installation requirements.
Can it detect electricity from a neighbor's dock?
Can it detect electricity from a neighbor's dock?
Often, yes. WaveLink Secure’s detection radius extends up to 150 feet from your dock. This means it can often identify hazardous current coming not only from your dock, but also from neighboring docks, marinas, or other nearby sources.
Do I need Wi-Fi or Bluetooth?
Do I need Wi-Fi or Bluetooth?
No. WaveLink Secure features built-in high-power LTE cellular connectivity, so it works even if your dock doesn’t have Wi-Fi. You’ll receive real-time alerts and data through the WaveLink Secure app anywhere you are.
Is the installation really DIY?
Is the installation really DIY?
Yes. Most homeowners can install WaveLink Secure in about an hour with basic tools. The kit includes mounting hardware, probes, and step-by-step instructions.
For those who prefer professional help, we partner with Certified Dealers in Alabama, Kentucky, and Missouri who specialize in WaveLink Secure installations. Certified Dealers can customize solutions, install your system, and provide ongoing support and maintenance for long-term peace of mind.
What happens if electricity is detected?
What happens if electricity is detected?
If dangerous electricity is detected in the water, the system immediately:
- Activates loud audible alarms and bright visual alerts on your dock
- Sends instant push notifications to your phone via the WaveLink Secure app
- This gives you time to act—shut off breakers, warn swimmers, and ensure safety.
How accurate is the detection?
How accurate is the detection?
WaveLink Secure uses patented detection technology combined with machine-learning algorithms to distinguish real hazards from harmless stray voltage, significantly reducing false alarms. Its detection radius (up to 150 feet) is one of the largest available and has been independently tested and endorsed.
What maintenance is required?
What maintenance is required?
WaveLink Secure is nearly maintenance-free:
- Ensure probes remain submerged and free from damage or debris
- Benefit from automatic software updates via the Hub
- Built-in battery backup ensures continued monitoring during power outages
- A quick visual check from time to time is all that’s typically needed.
Does it work in winter/freezing conditions?
Does it work in winter/freezing conditions?
Yes, but in lakes that freeze, probes may need to be removed or repositioned to prevent ice damage. Because probes must stay submerged for accurate detection, extreme cold or ice can affect performance. For the best winterization practices and safe year-round operation in cold climates, contact WaveLink Secure support.
My dock passed inspection. Do I still need this?
My dock passed inspection. Do I still need this?
Yes. An inspection confirms your dock’s safety at that moment in time, but wiring can degrade quickly due to weather, wildlife, or dock movement. WaveLink Secure provides continuous monitoring between inspections to detect new hazards as they develop.
I already have a GFCI. Isn't that enough?
I already have a GFCI. Isn't that enough?
GFCIs protect electrical circuits by cutting power when a fault is detected, but they don’t monitor the water itself. WaveLink Secure detects dangerous electricity in the water, whether it comes from your dock or another source. Used together, GFCIs and WaveLink Secure provide layered dock safety protection.
Protect What Matters Most
Simple installation. Continuous protection. Complete peace of mind.
